Fully transferable Colt-manufactured Thompson U.S. Navy Model of 1928 selective-fire submachine gun chambered in .45 ACP, serial number 13299. Manufactured by Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Mfg. Co. for Auto-Ordnance Corporation, the receiver is marked “Thompson Submachine Gun, Calibre .45 Automatic Colt Cartridge” and displays the desirable U.S. Navy Model of 1928 overstamp in 1928AC configuration. This classic Thompson operates from an open bolt using the Blish-lock delayed-blowback system and provides selectable semi-automatic and fully automatic fire. Its configuration includes a top-mounted charging handle, finned barrel with Cutts compensator, front sight, adjustable Lyman rear sight, detachable walnut buttstock, walnut pistol grip and vertical walnut foregrip. The firearm accepts detachable Thompson-pattern box or drum magazines and retains a blued finish with visible handling wear consistent with its age.
